Dr. Zul Zakiyuddin Bin Ahmad Rashid is a Senior Lecturer in Construction Law at School of Housing Building and Planning (HBP) Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). He is the chair of the Construction Industry Law Centre (CILC), an initiative sanctioned by the Malaysian judiciary and supported by key industry stakeholders, including the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia and various professional associations. CILC primarily focuses on the development of construction law and dispute resolution practices within the construction industry.

Dr. Zul is a panel adjudicator and mediator with the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) and also serves as a mediator under the Penang Justice of Peace Mediation Bureau. Additionally, he plays a role in court-annexed mediation, facilitating dispute resolution within the judicial system. Actively engaged in research and development, he leads various construction-related research grants, contributing to a deeper understanding of industry challenges and fostering practical solutions that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and regulatory compliance. His involvement with CIDB Malaysia includes drafting and publishing the CIDB CFOC 2022, integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) values into construction contracts.
