Dr. Erialdi Syahrial is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya. He brings a strong integration of academic expertise, industrial experience, and international collaboration to his work in operations and sustainable systems. His global academic exposure includes serving as a Visiting Researcher at Weber State University, United States, while he is currently engaged in active research collaborations with universities in Indonesia and Japan, strengthening cross-border knowledge exchange in sustainable transport systems, logistics innovation, and carbon management.

Building on this international foundation, his teaching and research portfolio is deeply rooted in Operations Management, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, and Quality Management. These core areas are closely linked with his broader commitment to applied and industry-relevant education, where he also contributes to Project Management, Research Methodology, and Work Design/Ergonomics. In these roles, he consistently bridges theory and practice by integrating real industrial cases and operational challenges into academic learning, with a strong emphasis on systems thinking, efficiency, and operational excellence across both manufacturing and service sectors.

His academic direction is further strengthened by his strong alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 9, SDG 11 and SDG 13. This sustainability focus directly connects to his research in green engineering innovation and systems-based approaches for developing low-carbon and resilient solutions in hard-to-abate sectors such as aviation and maritime logistics. His work is grounded in advanced decarbonization technologies, including Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage and Direct Air Capture, which he positions as key enablers of future industrial transformation.
